    The telephone number is 0845 121 0504

Frendoc can only be accessed by telephone.

When the surgery is closed, patients should telephone Frendoc (Frenchay Doctors on Call). Frendoc provide an Out of Hours Emergency Medical service for GP practices. It currently provides this service in an area of South Gloucestershire & Bristol with a population of approx 250,000 patients.

The number above is manned by a Receptionist from 6.30pm to 8.30am (weekdays) and weekends to 8.30am Monday. Your phone call may be recorded. A doctor is always available and patients may be offered telephone advice, a consultation at the Primary Healthcare Centre or a home visit if appropriate.

    How the Service Works
The patient or carer telephones FRENDOC and a receptionist will ask and record the patient details and a brief description of his or her medical complaint.
    They will ask for:
  • The phone number at the patient’s location
  • The patients home address and date of birth
  • The practice and GP the patient is registered with.

Please try to have this information available when phoning.

The medical staff will priorities the calls based on the patients’ clinical needs.

The Primary Healthcare Centre is at Frenchay Hospital (in the first building on the left after entering from Frenchay Park Road).

Please Note:  do not arrive at the centre without first making telephone contact.
