Dr Terry
Paterson MB ChB DRCOG DA FRCGP
FRACGP
- Dr Paterson
was appointed to the Pilning
Practice in 1983, taking over
from a single handed doctor who
practised from rooms in his own
home. A graduate of Aberdeen
University (1972) he has seen
the practice evolve and develop
and take its current shape. Dr
Paterson has lead responsibility
for Diabetes, Hypertension and
CHD care in the Practice and
leads on the implementation of
the practice Information
Technology strategy.
He is a member of the Executive Team of the South Glos Practice Based Commissioning group and has a particular interest in facilitating good practice and in professional development/learning.
Dr Fiona
Ormerod MB BS (1978) (LONDON) DRCOG
DA MRCGP
- Dr Ormerod
joined the practice in 1994 and
works as a full time partner and
is responsible for Asthma, COPD
and leads on issues of clinical
governance with responsibility
for relations with the Primary
Care Trust. Dr Ormerod has a
wide experience of Family
Planning and leads the enhanced
service agreement on IUCD. Dr
Ormerod advises on Palliative
care issues and works closely
with outside agencies.
Dr Alison Wint
MB BS (1980) (LONDON) DRCOG MRCGP
- Dr Wint
joined the practice in January
2005 and brings to Pilning a
wealth of experience from her
time spent in inner city of
Bristol. She has been a Primary
Care Cancer Lead since 2000
working with the Bristol North
Primary Care Trust. Dr Wint is
experienced in Child Health
Surveillance, Obstetric Care and
Family
Planning. Teaching has also been
an important part of her work
having participated in under
graduate teaching in her role as
Trainer.
